I downloaded the IE9 from Microsoft's site as soon as I discovered it was available. First thing I did prior to installing it was to backup my machine. I then uninstalled the Release Candidate, rebooted and installed the Final Release with absolutely no problems. As far as I can tell everything is pretty much the same as in the release candidate. The Home page, Favorites and Tools icons are still at the top right corner. Favorites work as they did in previous version of IE the only difference being that they open from the right side of the browser instead of the left. The Favorites bar, Status bar, and command bar are all disabled by default but can be easily enabled by right clicking on the area just above the will bring up a menu that will allow you to enable the toolbars. The search bar has also been eliminated. To search just type your search terms in the address bar. Hardware acceleration in IE 9 is enabled by default (can be disabled in the Tools menu under the advanced tab). My overall impression of browser is that it is fast, the fastest version of IE yet. Another feature new in IE9 are Pinned Sites. This allows you to easily pin sites to the taskbar in Windows 7. The interface is clean and the browser is rock solid stable on my system (Windows 7 x64).
