Developer's Description: "FireDaemon is a system utility that allows you to install and run any 32-bit or 64-bit application (EXE or DLL) or script (BAT CMD, .NET, Perl, Java, Python, TCL TK) as a Windows XP, 2003, Vista, 2008 or 7 service. FireDaemon enables complete configuration of the installed service, which can be completed from the GUI or via XML. Among its key features is a low memory and CPU overhead, subprocess prioritization, support for custom environments, CPU binding, plus monitoring and logging to the event log and on-disk log files. FireDaemon provides maximum uptime for particular applications, securing them against accidental crashes or intentional shutdowns. A program, setup as a service, runs in the background all the time, regardless of who is or is not logged in. This can be useful for certain programs, such as network management or business productivity software, that you would like running all the time. Another benefit is the ability to run as a specific local or domain user. ! Added to this is the ability to configure a service to run for specific periods of time during the day, week or month. This considerably simplifies systems administration and management. FireDaemon additionally allows you to edit all built-in Windows services, effectively allowing you to replace the Windows Service applet (services.msc). FireDaemon is skinnable - allowing you to change buttons, icons and text strings." More info-FireDaemon Technologies Limited

- Name: Input Director 1.2.1
- File Size: 2.2MB
- Date: 10 Nov 2009
- License: Freeware (for personal non-commercial use only, commercial users please contact the Author for pricing information)
- System Requirements: Win 2000/XP/2003/Vista/Vista x64/Windows 7
Input Director is designed for those folks that have two (or more) Windows systems set up at home. Using Input Director, you can position the monitors of your systems side-by-side and then control all of them via one keyboard/mouse. To transition which system you're controlling is as simple as moving the cursor off the screen on one system and it'll pop up on the next screen (similar to a multi-monitor setup) or via a hotkey combo. Input Director also lets you share clipboard contents, so you can copy from one machine, switch over to another and then paste. This also works for files that are in network shared directories.
- New in this release:
- New transition option: Double-tap on the edge of a screen to transition.
- New transition option: The cursor must linger at the edge of a screen to transition.
- New transition option: No transitions occur in close proximity to the corners of a screen.
- Can suppress warnings about clipboard pastes, different versions of ID and slave unavailability's.
- Supports using the master's keyboard layout when controlling a slave.
- Option to limit changes to Input Director's configuration to local administrators only.
- Automatic startup of Input Director can be set for all users or just specific users.
- Can default all slaves to skip on startup to avoid transitions to unavailable slaves.
- Can copy files to the clipboard that are located on network shares mounted on the source system.
- Can be set to remember whether screen-edges should be enabled or disabled on startup.
- Installer no longer warns about installing to incompatible O/S on Windows 2008 and Windows 7.
- Installer now correctly adds Input Director firewall rules on Windows 2008 and Windows 7.
- Slaves can be upgraded "hands-free" for those systems without keyboard/mice attached.
- New Re-scan slave systems option from the "ID" icon's right-click context menu.
- Fixed bug - Vista slaves used to occasionally incorrectly broadcast their availability on shutdown.
- Fixed bug - reversed mouse buttons are now honored when using the Master's mouse preferences when directing a slave.
- Various minor bug fixes and improvements.
