Name: AnyReader 2.6
File Size: 2.49MB
Date: 20 Feb 2008
License: Shareware
Price: $29.95
Eval: 30 days
System Requirements: Win 95/98/Me/NT4/2000/XP/2003/Vista, Pentium 120Mhz, 32MB RAM.

AnyReader can read from scratched CD/DVDs, unreliable LAN (Wi-Fi), damaged floppy/flash disks, etc. Effectively copy corrupt data from any type of disks or faulty connections when standard copy methods fail. AnyReader supports resumed downloads from a remote PC if the connection was broken during the copy process (especially useful for unreliable Wi-Fi networks). AnyReader is great for copying files from scratched CD/DVDs or defective floppy/hard disks. Normally, when your computer is unable to copy files from a damaged disk it will abort and delete the part of the file it has copied. AnyReader will continue copying the file right to the end; any data that hasn't been recovered after several retries is replaced with blanks. This will allow you to effectively read every byte of information that can be read. Here are some situations where AnyReader can help: your CD/DVD drive can't read a bad, scratched or trashed disks; the standard copying method fails because of an error, such as "(Bad CRC) A cyclic redundancy check (CRC) checksum error occurred", "Cannot read from the source file or disk", an unknown error or a bad disk; you have 2 bad copies of a file that you would like to put right; you can't download a file across a wireless LAN because of a bad connection, etc. More info-Regall LLC

Developer's Description: "That's Murphy's Law. When you lose a word processing document, a spreadsheet, a multimedia file, source-code file, hours of hard work can go up in smoke in just a millisecond when a costly file becomes extinct. You can spend hours of your time to re-create the document, you can spend thousands of Euro on a recovery service or you can report sick. We suggest - Use ArchiCrypt Rescue-Master instead. It recovers files from nearly all kinds of devices (hard disks, external devices, USB-Sticks, U3-Sticks, Memory Cards as used in MP3 Players, Handys, DigiCams, etc.). Rescue-Master supports files systems FAT12, FAT16, FAT32, NTFS and NTFS5. It can even recover compressed, fragmented and encrypted data (EFS; Encrypted File System) on NTFS as used on Windows 2000,XP,2003 and Vista systems. Rescue-Master can store recovered files on arbitrary local and network devices. It gives you excellent recovery results by using Quick-Scan for partially destroyed media structures and Deep Scan for media with fully destroyed struct ures (e.g. formatted devices). Working with the device containing the deleted files can be very dangerous. The recoverable files can so be destroyed forever. Rescue-Master can create an image of that device and recover the files from this exact copy. The included U3 version is exactly what you need to recover lost files on the go. Plug in your U3 stick and recover lost and deleted files on systems without first installing ArchiCrypt-Rescue Master." More info-Software Development Remus
